How Suggest Outfit Works

Suggest Outfit scores every top/bottom pairing in your closet and favors the combinations stylists consider flattering, instead of picking at random.

Neutrals go with almost anything. Black, white, grey, navy, brown, and beige/tan are versatile enough to pair with nearly any other color in your closet.
Analogous colors work well together. Colors that sit close together on the color wheel (like navy and teal, or red and orange) read as intentional rather than accidental.
Complementary colors make a bold, put-together look. Colors from opposite sides of the wheel (like red and green, or blue and orange) balance each other out.
Dressiness should stay close. Mixing dressy with casual works when the two pieces are only one step apart — a dressy blouse with jeans reads as deliberate, but with athletic shorts it just reads as a mistake.
A solid anchors any print. Pairing a patterned piece with a solid one is the safest combination there is. Two prints can work together, but only when their scales clearly differ — two prints of the same size compete with each other.
